BOARD & TRAIN

PROTECTION

Training your dog is a great tool to correct unwanted behaviors, but it is an even better tool to prevent those unwanted behaviors from ever developing. Getting a jump on training with your dog as soon as possible is a wonderful way to bond with your dog as well as create long lasting behaviors and habits. Once you see the difference in your dog you'll be glad you made the choice to get them in training. We are a BALANCED training facility, which means we use all four quadrants of operant conditioning to help you and your dog reach your goals. While we have found the balanced training methods to garner the best quality results, we are also more than happy to help you and your dog learn in a purely positive way. The purely positive method of training, when done correctly, can be very effective as well. However, it can also limit you and your dog in the long run and/or make training a much longer process. The method of training is totally up to you and only needs to be what is right for you and your situation.

Since any method of dog training is not a one size fits all, we make a point to offer a variety of options to fit you and your dogs needs.

Group Classes:

$265.00 for 6 week package (tax included)

These classes consist of anywhere between 3-5 owners and their dogs. Each class goes for a total of 6 consecutive weeks at the same day and time each week, generally lasting for 45 min to an hour (adjustments will be made for holidays or unsafe weather conditions). If you are just getting started with training your young puppy or have an older dog that has been through some training and needs work with distractions around, this is a great option for you.

Private Classes:

$58.30 per session (tax included)

These sessions are great if you have time to work with your dog at home during the week. You and your dog will work one on one with a TRS Master Certified Dog Trainer to work towards your training goals. After each session you will have assigned homework to work on with your dog before the next session, and your progress on those tasks will determine what your trainer covers with you the next week. You can schedule these classes weekly, bi-weekly, or just when you need a little help with your training process. Sessions run between 30min to an hour depending on your dog and what you are learning during that session. These are also a great tool if you and your dog need a little refresher a few months after a board and train program!

Board and Train:

$1908.00 (tax included) Basic Obedience per (28 days)

$2650.00 (tax included) Potty or Other Specialty Training per (28 days)

Our board and train programs groups start at the beginning of each month and can cover anything from basic obedience to scent detection, service dog training, agility, etc. The goals you have for your dog as well as their previous training or bad habits, will determine how long your dog will need to stay in training. In addition to the training your dog will receive during their board and train program, you will have 4 free private lessons included with the package. These lessons must be scheduled while your dog is completing their program, and for the best results we suggest scheduling one each week while your dog is here. The final lesson is usually scheduled on the day of pickup from the program. During this time you will learn what your dog has been learning throughout the week and will be able to practice with your dog. We have found this is the best way to prevent owners from feeling overwhelmed with information and reverting to old habits when their dogs come home with them.

Potty training is offered as a Specialty Training program, and while in this program puppies will live in the home with one of our trainers. Obedience training is included with a potty training program, and they will learn a variety of household manners as an added bonus of living in the home. They will be exposed to other dogs in the home and are therefore required to have a minimum of their first two sets of shots before starting the program, and be kept up to date during their stay in the program. If you are looking for other specialty training please contact our office for further information
